Their behavior is so unexpected. I love to watch them tho. We only have one coming to the feeder now. It won't be long and there will be none until next spring.Lisa at Greenbowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07743973292900758183noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2010921422659089253.post-72376229171634880652010-09-28T14:13:45.247-04:002010-09-28T14:13:45.247-04:00These photos are amazing!!! I am surprised that we still have a few around our feeder due to the colder weather we have been having - but that burring sound of their wings and the chirp chirp always draws me to see one again. Thanks for sharing the great photos and post!!RH Carpenterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05497161758269292809noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2010921422659089253.post-22694869522529672532010-09-28T11:48:46.708-04:002010-09-28T11:48:46.708-04:00Those are just amazing shots - the tongue especial...Those are just amazing shots - the tongue especially! I was never a big hummer fan, but now I'm feeling I was wrong to dismiss them just because they remind me of bugs. That was a really good post!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15795685792790247081noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2010921422659089253.post-17002215503290706912010-09-28T10:53:48.048-04:002010-09-28T10:53:48.048-04:00Wow these are the most awesome photos, Vickie!! I'm in Mooresburg, TN and all of mine have been at your house this past week.:) We've only had the occasional straggler through here for the last few days. I always miss them when they leave for the Winter. I go from filling a 4-cup feeder every other day to a half cup just for those that are slow in pulling out their maps leading South. :) Thanks for the wonderful photos and info.Angiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10386388066709376768noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2010921422659089253.post-7430974450031781902010-09-28T01:39:42.575-04:002010-09-28T01:39:42.575-04:00Gorgeous shots of the hummers Vickie.
